BirthFlow grew from the messy, beautiful reality of doula work. It’s the result of two worlds colliding: Tam, with a decade of experience running her successful agency, Stork Helpers, and Jesse, a digital builder with 15+ years of experience creating tools that actually work.
The platform wasn’t a sudden “aha” moment; it was a slow evolution. If you followed Stork Helpers online, you might remember Jesse’s “The Houla” persona. While it started as fun, it was Jesse’s way of observing how doula support moves in the real world.
Through years of trial and error, we realized existing software was too rigid or too clunky. We didn’t want more “tech” in the birth space—we wanted to clear the clutter.
We are our own first users. Stork Helpers relies on BirthFlow every single day. We live in this app, managing our clients and our agency through it. Because we are in the trenches with you, we know exactly what needs fixing. If a feature doesn’t make our agency’s life easier, it doesn’t make the cut for yours.
Based in Ohio, we are a husband-and-wife duo balancing 20 years of marriage and the beautiful chaos of raising seven children. We don’t build for an abstract ideal; we build for the “Messy Reality.”
